Dr. Jolene Giacinti, BHSc, DVM, PhD, is a Wildlife Health Specialist with Environment and Climate Change Canada, where she leads and collaborates on wildlife health research and surveillance initiatives including at One Health interfaces. Her current work focuses on emerging wildlife diseases, particularly highly pathogenic avian influenza, integrating epidemiology, ecology, genomics, and policy to support evidence-informed decision-making. Dr. Giacinti serves on several national and international advisory and technical committees and is committed to advancing interdisciplinary collaboration, knowledge mobilization, and the training of the next generation of One Health professionals.
